Get to know the team and their goals!

How it was founded?

Mindscape came to life when two aspiring young women -- one from Canada and one from the United States -- desired to make a change and to leave a positive impact on their communities. Two other young women had joined them on this journey and with their immense passion, they had decided to create a foundation where mental health would be discussed prominently.

"Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act". And is most prominent from "childhood and adolescence through adulthood".

As young adults, the board members recognize and understand their surroundings. Their goal is to strive and create a safe environment where other people can learn more about thmeselves and about mental health! "We strive to make young adults feel recognized and comfortable in their own skin!", says Ayesha Yousuf, the Co-Founder of Mindscape. Ultimately, Mindscape decided to focus on mental health to be able to relate to the youth, gain an understanding of different topics pertaining mental health, and share their experience back with their community!

Who are they?

The co-founders of this non-profit organization are Ayesha Yousuf and Densika Ravndiralingam. The co-presidents are Rynah Jamil and Simitha Ramthas.

What are their goals at a glance?

With great responsibility and tremendous work still ahead of them, the Mindscape board members strive to raise awareness, educate, and make the youth comfortable with mental health. Mental health is a very sensitive subject that not many people are comfortable discussing, but Mindscape wants to promote and encourage a safe environment where everyone is respected and well acknowledged!

What are Mindscape's future plans?

With the help of their volunteers, Mindscape's board members will create activities such as blogs, videos, tutorials, discussions, newsletter, and more to keep their viewers informed and engaged, with the help of their team! Not only will they add this element, but Mindscape hopes to raise funds for other non-profits and in return gain sponsors.
